Territory Bonds forms an integral part of the Corporation's borrowing program. Territory Bonds is the Corporation's retail fixed interest borrowing product, which is used to seek funds from the general public. The funds raised assist to finance the Northern Territory's infrastructure requirements such as housing, transport, health and education services.
 
Territory Bonds is specifically designed for retail investors seeking a safe and secure Government guaranteed investment. Territory Bonds have been issued every year since 1979 and as at 30 June 2012 had approximately $118 million outstanding.
 
Territory Bonds offer a minimum investment amount of $2000 and a variety of investment terms from 1 to 5 years. Investors may choose to have their interest paid directly into their nominated bank account either quarterly, half-yearly or annually. Territory Bonds are guaranteed by the Northern Territory Government.
 

Territory Bonds are redeemable at any licensed securities dealer, or with Link Market Services Limited, at a price related to the prevailing interest rates.
