2017 Graduates

Todd Hoy

The DTF Graduate Program is a great start coming out of university as it exposes you to real work while providing a lot of guidance and structure to help you tackle the challenges. The program exposes you to different units within the department allowing you to see a range of jobs and learn different tips from each of your supervisors and co‑workers as they all have different styles of working.

Rebecca Murray

In the short six months that I have been at DTF, I had the opportunity to assist in developing the Territory’s 2017‑18 Budget, worked on the Territory’s submissions for the upcoming GST Distribution Review and have analysed a number of Territory Government agencies’ financial statements.

Starting the program with other graduates from across Australia really helped me to adapt to my new life in Darwin and I have made life-long connections with people, both within DTF and externally. This program is highly recommended!

2015 Graduate, now NDRRA Project Officer

Niall Stone

In the Graduate Program I gained experience in a range of key strategic business units: Revenue, Financial Management and Intergovernmental Relations. Unexpectedly, following tropical cyclones Lam and Nathan, I had a unique rotation placement working on the Natural Disaster Relief and Recovery Arrangements. This was an immensely enjoyable experience and allowed me to develop skills and procedures that could be used across Territory Government agencies.
