This calculator provides an indication of the stamp duty payable on the purchase of an established home where the purchaser is eligible for the First Home Owner Discount (FHOD).

The FHOD is available to eligible purchasers who enter into a contract to purchase an established home, or land on which to relocate an established home.

From 1 September 2016, the FHOD is a stamp duty saving of up to $23 928.60 for established homes valued at $650 000 or less. This equates to a full stamp duty concession on the initial $500 000 value of the home.

For established homes valued at more than $650 000, a stamp duty concession of $10 000 is available until 31 December 2016.

Note: Purchasers eligible for FHOD are not entitled to the First Home Owner GrantPrincipal Place of Residence Rebate; or the Senior, Pensioner and Carer Concession.
