This calculator provides an indication of the stamp duty payable on the purchase of a home, or land on which to build a home, where the purchaser is eligible for the Principal Place of Residence Rebate (PPRR).

A new home is a home that has never been previously lived in or sold as a place or residence. Substantially renovated homes may be considered as a new home for the purpose of the PPRR. For further details on what constitutes a new home refer to the Commissioners Guideline below.

From 4 December 2012, the PPRR is an amount up to $7000 off the duty payable. View details of the thresholds prior to this date.

Note: Purchasers eligible for PPRR are not entitled to the First Home Owner Discount or the Senior, Pensioner and Pensioner Concession.
